Sheep Farm Initiative to Bolster Resilience of Families in Humsa Al-Tahta Facing Settlement Threats

Sheep Farm Initiative to Bolster Resilience of Families in Humsa Al-Tahta Facing Settlement Threats

Huma Al-Tahta is a small agricultural village in the Jordan Valley, continuously threatened by the surrounding farming settlements.

In order to empower the residents of this village, Revive Palestine has completed a project to raise funds of $50,000 required to establish a dairy sheep farm.

The farm contains 30 dairy sheep and will represent a continuous income-generating project for the residents, besides creating job opportunities for the local workers to help them avoid work in the settlements. Having said that, this will increase the resilience of the local residents in this threatened area.

The overall plan of this farm is to produce cheese, sheep meat, and wool and increase the cattle.
